Not For Sale
This piece wasn't born from a reference or a plan — it rose from a feeling. I toned the canvas first, not for color's sake, but to give the drawing a pulse. That wash of paint became a place for my thoughts to land, a surface steady enough to hold what I was carrying.
Charcoal and graphite moved differently over that ground. They didn't just sit on the canvas — they sank into it, like something long-held finally finding room to breathe.
This piece isn't about what's in front of you. It's about the stillness inside me that made it possible.
